The Centre for Multimedia and Learning (CML) has been established in 1998. The main emphasis of the center lies on the use of new media in education and training. The field of applications ranges from school education to higher education and corporate training. Within the FH JOANNEUM the CML provides the facilities of the „Virtual Campus“ and the center also works in several national and international projects. The specific working areas of the Center for Multimedia and Learning include the development, programming and design of educational contexts, market research and usability studies and evaluation, development and realisation of further education, networking and dissemination in the field of e-Learning, as well as the integration of e-Learning systems into traditional educational settings.

Project Manager. Her research interests include the conception, usability design and evaluation of systems that support learning through communication and collaborative interaction. Since December 2003 she is working in the development of UniGame.

Project Manager until November 2003. Her research interests extend into the area of different methods of the Distance and Online Education for Students and Adults.She also puts the emphasis on design and implementation of the web- and eLerning products of the CML.

Research Academic Computer Technology Institute - CTI
was founded in 1985 as a non-profit organisation. It is currently
supervised by the Greek Ministry of Education and Religious
Affairs. CTI constitutes an integrated research environment
for the design and development of products and solutions in
the area of Information Technology and Telematics Applications.
The research and development activity of CTI is conducted by
the Research & Development Dept., consisting of seven Research
Units, each of which specialises in different research areas.
Amongst them, Research Unit 6 - RU6, founded
in 1998, conducts research in the thematic areas of Computer
Networks, Telematics and New services. More specifically, RU6
exhibits activity in Networked Virtual Environments (NVEs),
Telematics applications, Web technologies, QoS provision, bandwidth
management and charging etc. |

| SCIENTER |
SCIENTER is a research centre and service provider organisation, active in the field of education and training.
Created by the initiative of a group of professionals, SCIENTER was established in January 1988, as non-profit organisation, of which the University of Bologna is one of the shareholders, and is represented in the Board of Directors. SCIENTER is interested in innovation of training systems, with main reference to the field of open and distance learning, organisational learning, use of information and communication technology in school, university and vocational training.
It develops research projects at regional, national, and European level in the following areas: training needs analysis; design and development of open and flexible learning systems; organisational learning design and implementation; training of trainers for the use of new methodologies and new technologies; research and selection of learning materials; market analysis in education and training, particularly concerning the use of new technologies and ODL, dissemination of research results, dissemination of innovation in education and training, policy assessment, project evaluation.

He is President of the Board of Directors and is responsible for different lines of activity: co-ordination of projects in the frame of National and European Programmes, policy assessment, programme evaluation, dissemination of results. He co-ordinated a study on ”Policy Delphi on Priority Needs for Research, Study and Experimentation in European Education & Training” supported by DGXXII. Since 1992 he has co-ordinated the BEACON Market Observatory on Flexible and Distance Learning and the Multimedia Educational Software Observatory – MESO Study for DG XXII. He is Secretary General of CAMPO (Italian Open Learning Association), member of the Editorial Board of the British Journal of Educational Technology and of EURODL (European Journal of Open Distance Learning), and professor of Human Resource Development at the College of Europe (Bruges, Belgium). |

| Ölands folk high school |
Ölands folk high school is a school for adult education. 200 students study here. Half of them are low educated and the other half are studying art and art expressions in different sources. Our pedagogical ideas are research, development and learning. We are working with art and art expressions all over the school and our aims are to stronger democracy and freedom of speech.

The members of the UniGame partnership in the United Kingdom come from the Moray House School of Education of the University of Edinburgh [http://www.ed.ac.uk/] in Scotland. The University, founded in 1583, is one of the oldest in the UK. In research productivity it is ranked top in Scotland, and among the top six in the UK as a whole.
Members of the School of Education have substantial experience in supporting and training teachers in higher education, both lecturing staff and teaching assistants, and in educational development at institutional level. They also research and publish in the area. In addition to the research and scholarship, members of the team contribute to the central service activities of the Media and Learning Technology Service [http://www.malts.ed.ac.uk] (MALTS) and the Centre for Teaching, Learning and Assessment [http://www.tla.ed.ac.uk] (TLA). MALTS supports the teaching and learning infrastructure of the University, from classroom technology to eLearning platforms and virtual learning environments, and provides pedagogical advice in its use. TLA has the aim of assisting the University in its goal of achieving high standards in teaching and learning at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The team are also members of the Scottish Centre for Research in Online Learning and Assessment [http://www.scrolla.ac.uk/] (SCROLLA).
